Tzedek / Social Justice
Hillel engages and empowers students in meaningful public service and inspires students to address social justice issues in a Jewish context. Through a variety of volunteer projects, students are able to explore Jewish values and social justice. Past events have included welcoming in Shabbat with residents of the William Breman Jewish Home, cosponsoring a blood drive on campus, and planting trees in the Atlanta community for Tu B'shevat!
Breman Home Shabbat:
Join Hillel as we celebrate Shabbat with the residents of the William Breman Jewish Home for the elderly. Spend time chatting with residents about growing up Jewish in Atlanta, sing fun Shabbat songs, and enjoy delicious home-made Challah.
